Shropshire RCC launches Wellbeing Resource Hub

Shropshire Rural Communities Charity (Shropshire RCC) has set up a new online platform for organisations to share resources, ideas, information and best practice.

The Wellbeing Resource Hub, which is free to access for voluntary and community groups and statutory organisations, also provides a space to publicise meetings, campaigns and events. Initially devised as a place for mutual support in recognition of the challenges of supporting people during the pandemic, the Hub is developing into an area for members to connect, with the potential for joint working initiatives to be developed through it.

The Hub has been established using the online project management platform Basecamp and is split into nine areas of interest which include Health & Wellbeing, Information & Support, Self-Care & Mindfulness, Newsletters and Activity Packs.

Member organisations can access and then cascade any relevant materials to their service users, beneficiaries and clients, either electronically or in hard copy.

Shropshire RCC Development Officer Sara Edwards set up the Hub. She said: “We have been up and running for a couple of months now, and we’ve had great feedback from the organisations who have been using it so far. “We’re really keen to grow the membership so organisations can utilise the resources available - and share some of their own - as we continue to deliver our services through these challenging times.”
